My job is rapidly becoming not what I want it to be. Not that any job is ever truly what you want it to be, but I'm just not feeling the whole job thing anymore. Now that school is over, it's time to start heading in a direction that will lead me to where I want to be in twenty years, and that's sure as hell not Starfuck's.
The book is still only half written, and the fire there has died a little. It's still very much at the top of my list, but the motivation is lacking. Even if I were to devote all my time to writing, it'll still be at least another two years before I can even think of having that published, and even more than that before it starts bringing in any money. In the mean time, that money issue is key.
So my question is this: If I were to post some pictures here, just a few, of a few pieces of jewelry handcrafted by myself, who among you would be willing to purchase them?
The plan is to showcase some of the pieces I've made over the last several years, and see where it goes. Of course, I am not by any stretch a professional. Even the most sell-worthy of my work is only "intermediate beginner" at best. I am not expecting to be able to support myself with this endeavor for another year or more at least. But that time frame will be pushed back even farther if I don't start now.
So within the next few days, or even the next few hours (fingers crossed but don't hold your breaths) you'll see some pictures cropping up here and there. Prices will be extremely low; this isn't a money making scheme just yet. Consider yourselves my focus group. If the pieces I display here sell, then there will be more to come.
So please. Make my efforts worth while. Pick up a lovely handcrafted piece of artwork for yourself or for a friend, TODAY!!
